Dr. Cheng Lun Wang, DDS, MSc, FRCD(C)
Dr. Cheng Lun Wang, a distinguished orthodontic specialist, is the founder and sole proprietor of PacificWest Dental Group, with clinics in Surrey and Vancouver. In 1989, he graduated with a degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario.
Following graduation, Dr. Wang pursued an internship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto before securing a full-time position at the I.W.K. Hospital for Children in Halifax. Providing paediatric dental care for out patientst, he simultaneously taught undergraduate dental students at Dalhousie University while establishing a part-time private practice in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
In 1991, Dr. Wang entered the orthodontic program at the University of Manitoba, completing three years of rigorous Clinical Orthodontic training. He earned a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology in 1994.
Driven by a passion for continuous learning, Dr. Wang shares his wealth of professional experience in Orthodontic and Paediatric dentistry through lectures and presentations across Canada. Alongside actively practicing lingual and labial Orthodontics in his private clinics, he serves as a clinical instructor at the University of British Columbia (UBC) School of Dentistry. His clinical research has been published in the Journal of Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Oral Pathology.
Dr. Wang’s primary commitment is to work closely with patients to address their specific orthodontic needs. Collaborating with orthodontic associates and a dedicated support team, he operates out of two PacificWest Dental Group clinics, one in Vancouver, BC, and the other in Surrey, BC.

Dr. Kevin Lee, DMD, MSc, FRCD(C)
Dr. Lee was born in Taiwan and moved to Vancouver with his family when he was 16 years old. After completing a four-year dental training program at UBC’s Faculty of Dentistry in 2011, he worked as a resident at Montefiore Hospital in New York. In 2012, Dr. Lee was accepted into UBC’s Orthodontic Specialty Program and successfully completed a three-year rigorous training program, earning a diploma in orthodontics and a master’s degree in craniofacial biology. He also passed the orthodontic specialist certification exams from both the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and the American Board of Orthodontics in 2015.
Despite his youthful appearance, Dr. Lee has more than a decade of clinical experience and is dedicated to staying updated on the latest orthodontic technologies. He is committed to providing effective, efficient, and comfortable treatment for patients of all ages, including traditional braces, lingual braces, and Invisalign. Dr. Lee takes pride in serving his community and continuously seeks out the most current evidence-based technology to ensure the best care for his patients, both children and adults. He has also undergone additional education to become familiar with advanced techniques such as skeletal anchorage devices and accelerated orthodontics.
Dr. Lee is a member of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, the Angle Society, and a diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics.
In his spare time, Dr. Lee enjoys photography and talking pictures of his favorite models (his kids). He also serves as Sunday school teacher at his church at the
Evangelical Chinese Bible Church (ECBC).

Dr. Yan Liu, DDS, PhD, FRCD(C)
Dr. Yan Liu boasts more than two decades of expertise as a Certified Specialist of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, excelling as both a seasoned practitioner and an esteemed educator. Since 2021, she has been contributing her skills and knowledge to Pacificwest Dental Group in Vancouver, BC.
Her educational journey includes earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Beijing Medical University in 1997 and obtaining a Ph.D. from Peking University in 2001. Dr. Liu furthered her professional development with a postdoctoral fellowship at the Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2004. Currently serving as a part-time faculty member at UBC Dentistry School, she dedicates significant time to advancing research and mentoring aspiring students.
Dr. Liu’s clinical research focuses on the Assessment of Treatment Results of Invisalign and the Comparison of Root Resorption Between Cases Treated with Invisalign and Fixed Edgewise Appliance.
Motivated by witnessing her patients flourish with newfound confidence in their smiles, Dr. Liu is driven to explore efficient treatment modalities while keeping her skills and knowledge up-to-date. Her commitment to advancing orthodontic research is evident in her involvement with the Canadian Association of Orthodontics and the BC Society of Orthodontists.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Liu values quality time with her family. She finds joy in activities such as golf, biking, and practicing yoga during her leisure moments.
